Built from the field
DestrierOS grew out of nine years in oil field operations, where critical work was scattered across spreadsheets, inboxes, paperwork apps, telematics portals, and phone reminders. Every handoff meant another chance to lose the context needed to finish the job.
After years of looking for a connected system, Schardt Industries founder Matthew Schardt went to Carnegie Mellon University to develop the technical skills to build it. The first lines of DestrierOS were written on an oil rig. The product remains self-funded while its founder continues working in the field, keeping development close to the conditions crews and operators face every day.

A running Linux desktop version brings the platform to local workstations, with offline upload queues and support for field-office workflows. Broader packaged releases remain subject to platform testing and release review.
DestrierOS Field · Early alpha
The native mobile app now includes substantial field workflows across customer records, work orders, forms, documents, inventory, scheduling, and reporting. Offline capture, sync recovery, and GPS-assisted work remain in real-device validation as web workflow parity develops.
Time-clock kiosk · Ship-ready
The time-clock and location-registry appliance has completed case design and packaging, with NFC credentials, Wi-Fi setup, organization pairing, sync, offline event replay, updates, and device administration.
Availability follows each product's release stage. Mobile remains early alpha; new engineering work goes through testing and release review before reaching customers.

Mobile development focuses on retaining field work through connection loss and making sync conflicts visible. Sensitive actions require an online check when current permissions or provider confirmation are needed. Kiosk events and fleet signals return to the same company records used by dispatch, HR, and management.
